Interface Breakout Limitation on UfiSpace S9610-46DX
The UfiSpace S9610-46DX platform has hardware limitations that restrict interface breakout.
QSFP28 Breakout
The upper 20 QSFP28 ports (front-panel ports 0 - 19) support breakout into:
-
4 x 25GE
Breakout on an upper QSFP28 port automatically disables its corresponding lower QSFP28 port.
When breakout is enabled on any of these ports:
-
The selected 100GE interface is divided into four logical 10GE or 25GE interfaces. The corresponding lower QSFP28 port (front-panel ports 20 - 39, see the following 'Figure.1' and 'Figure.2') is automatically disabled.
In the following front-panel port diagram, boxed ports connected by a line indicate mutually exclusive port pairs.
In the preceding image, the red and yellow box outlines indicate port groups that are mutually exclusive.
Only one port in each mutually exclusive port pair can be active when breakout mode is enabled. Breakout mode is supported only on Ports 0 - 19. Ports 20 - 39 cannot be configured as breakout ports.
The following port pairs are mutually exclusive:
QSFP-DD Breakout
All QSFP-DD ports (front-panel ports 40 - 45) support breakout into 4 x 100GE.
Each QSFP-DD port can operate either as a single 400GE interface or as four independent 100GE interfaces.
