Static Routing Overview

Static routing allows a network administrator to configure routes manually. Using the RtBrick CLI, you can configure static IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, and multicast routes.

Guidelines and Limitations

ECMP is not supported for static routes that include a null0 next-hop. If null0 is set as one of the next-hops, the system generates an error.
An exit interface configuration is allowed in the case of null0, or the next hop must be link-local.

Not all features are necessarily supported on each hardware platform. Refer to the Platform Guide for the features and the sub-features that are or are not supported by each platform.
